countries

0:01

i won't ask you what your favorites were

0:04

what were your three most impactful

0:07

countries that you traveled to i'd have

0:09

to say the first one would be thailand

0:12

because that's where i got certified

0:15

for yoga okay and um

0:18

it was a uh

0:20

experience that wasn't traditional at

0:22

all like

0:24

i had to uh climb a 2 000 step

0:28

uh mountain to this buddha uh statue

0:32

as a part of like the culmination of

0:34

this training

0:35

and once i got there i thought it would

0:37

be like this spiritual moment and things

0:40

like that and uh

0:42

uh

0:43

the guy he was just like welcome and now

0:46

it's time for you to climb back down you

0:47

made it i was like what i was expecting

0:50

this ceremony and touch my head and give

0:53

me this

0:54

he's like uh no you made it and so um

0:57

you know but thailand was just a a

1:00

great experience uh overall spiritually

1:04

i would have to say because i'm such a

1:05

history nerd and buff

1:08

um

1:08

uh egypt

1:11

and then more importantly

1:12

going to charm out shake and randomly

1:15

climbing moses mountain

1:18

which was

1:19

interesting uh because we had to have a

1:22

uh

1:23

all americans

1:25

u.s citizens had to have a had to hire a

1:27

paramilitary uh guard to go up into the

1:30

sinai peninsula

1:33

to climb moses mountain

1:35

and so we did that with no trainings

1:37

like a 9 000 foot mountain we started at

1:39

1am

1:40

and uh basically climbed it in the

1:42

equivalent of not even new balances

1:44

would have been great it was like some

1:46

under armour uh

1:47

uh cross trainers it was crazy

1:50

uh but it was an amazing experience and

1:52

we got there uh at uh sunrise and it was

1:56

just super dope

1:57

and then i would have to say uh ghana

2:00

okay uh ghana was just a life-changing i

2:03

went with

2:05

actually went with with josh who started

2:07

switch dreams but it was like all these

2:10

howard folks

2:11

and it was uh it was interesting and one

2:14

of the things that

2:15

happened on that trip

2:18

was really seeing

2:19

the culture for the first time like a

2:21

lot of the things that uh we

2:25

we have in in the states

2:27

that we think are just you know

2:29

colloquialisms and just happenings uh

2:32

are part of our our our lineage and our

2:35

culture i remember um all the ceremonies

2:38

that we had

2:39

uh you know the the the canaans were

2:42

like two three hours late for and i'm a

2:45

stickler for time yeah and so i i had

2:48

the opportunity to meet the santi hanna

2:50

and instead of asking him some deep

2:52

question i was like hey man um

2:55

you know he took a liking to me so i

2:56

felt comfortable asking i was like so

2:58

are you guys on like cp time like

3:01

you know i noticed that y'all like late

3:02

for everything like hours late he was

3:04

like

3:05

listen jason um

3:08

we don't believe in being on time to

3:11

think to things

3:13

we believe that the moment arrives to us

3:17

and we believe that that a moment

3:19

arrives to us when we when the universe

3:22

deems it so

3:24

and so

3:26

we don't believe in being on time to

3:28

things like

3:29

the moment the ceremonies are time comes

3:31

to us

3:32

it comes to us and so that

3:36

was something that i took away

3:38

that was life-changing like

3:41

these moments i could be as prepared as

3:43

i want to be

3:44

walking into nike or

3:47

uh linking up with rich paul or calvin

3:49

andrews or

3:51

uh jerry lorenzo

3:54

but

3:55

the moments arrive when the universe

3:57

deems it so yeah and so those would

4:00

probably be the

4:02

um

4:04

three

4:06

countries that were the most impactful

4:08

yeah and um and then like second would

4:11

probably uh

4:12

the second tier would probably be

4:14

brazil

4:15

um

4:17

tanzania because we

4:19

um

4:20

adopted a school in tanzania tanzania

4:23

the integral

4:24

secondary school and we built them a

4:26

girls dorm as well as a

4:29

um

4:30

a cafeteria so tanzania will always be

4:33

very special

4:35

and we got attacked by an elephant as

4:37

well

4:38

so we went out to tanzania to link up

4:40

with one of my fry brothers uh rashad

4:43

coleman myself and my cousin taki salaam

4:45

so uh yeah those those would those would

4:48

be the

4:49

special
